Stats: At her 6 month she was 17 pounds and in the 75th percentile for everything. Her next weigh in will be next month at her 9 month visit. I am sure she has gained several more pounds by now because baby girl loves to eat!
Favorite Foods: Pumpkin, lots and lots of pumpkin. Clearly she is my daughter. Banana, Peas, Carrots, Applesauce, Mango, Sweet Potato, Zucchini. She is eating solid foods 3 times a day. Cereal(whole grain oats) in the morning with mango or applesauce and then a fruit and veggie for lunch and dinner. We haven’t started meat yet and she’s working on finger foods. Although she hasn’t quite grasped the concept yet. She is still drinking 4-5 bottles a day and also drinking water as well.
Sleeping: Well, hmmm. She goes in spurts when she sleeps through the entire night. It’s either Eczema, teething, ear infections, or stomach bugs which are keeping her up at night. We put her down usually around 6:30- 7:00 and sometimes she will sleep the whole night. Other nights she will wake up one or two times. I am thankful for the nights when
we she gets a full nights sleep.
Clothing: She’s wearing a 6-12 months in pretty much everything. I mentioned in another post how I try to buy her clothes which are really soft and non irritating due to her Eczema.
Health: Besides her damn Eczema she is very healthy. But, man that damn Eczema. We lube her up with Aquaphor 3-4 times a day and also have medication from the doctor. I try to only use the medication from the doctor for extreme days but it seems like every day is extreme for the poor little munchkin. She still only has 2 teeth as well but I know another one of those suckers is coming through at any moment. I curse teething!
Milestones: London started crawling this month and she is EVERYWHERE! This girl is always on the move and never wants to sit still anymore. This is cool to watch but no so cool when you’re trying to change her diaper or her clothes. What’s even more crazy is the past two nights she has freaking pulled herself up and is full fledge standing up for about 10 seconds. Nathan and I can’t decide if she actually knows she’s standing or just happens to do it.
Funny Moments: We are trying to teach London what “No” means in sign language. One of her favorite things to do is crawl over to Lilo’s dog bowl and try and grab the food. Oh, she also loves electrical cords as well. Awesome. Anyways, that isn’t the funny moment part. But, what is funny is when we make the sign for “No” and try to be all serious. London just looks at us and gives the biggest smile ever. We end up cracking up laughing because she’s too cute. Already at 8 months she’s learned how to manipulate us with the word “No”.
This truly has been the best age yet. London is so full of smiles all the time and talking nonstop. I swear the other night she was saying mama, but it was probably in my head. She is the sweetest baby ever but she can also be dramatic at times. Nathan says she gets this from me but I have no idea what he’s talking about!
