A few weekends ago myself and a couple of friends hosted a bachelorette weekend for our best friend Jen. We wanted to do something out of town that none of us girls had done together before as a group to help celebrate Jen. We decided on taking the train to Hermann, Mo, visiting the wineries, and staying in a bed and breakfast. To help get the weekend started I hosted a wine tasting at my house Friday night. I thought this would be a great way to get everyone in the mood and to allow for those who weren’t able to go to Hermann to celebrate with Jen.
We left KC Saturday morning and took the Amtrak to Hermann which takes about 4 hours. The train ride there was a little more exciting than the train ride back home the next day. When we got to Hermann we ate lunch at one of the wineries and then visited 2 more. Hermann has a trolley system that will cart you around from winery to winery all day long for a great price. That night after dinner(not a huge selection of tasty restaurants in Hermann) we went to the local hangout to end the night. We will save those pictures for ourselves! Hermann was a really fun time and a great way to toast the bachelorette. The only thing that would have made it perfect would be if the wine tasted a little better. Oh well. At least we have some great memories!
Congratulations Jen! Love Ya!
What are some of your favorite bachelorette memories?
