Austin Mules

One of our favorite drinks lately have been Moscow Mules, but I have a little spin on the original Moscow Mule and wanted to share with you. It’s all homemade ingredients, added with some Tito’s Vodka and we call it an Austin Mule instead. It’s perfect for anytime of the year and will definitely be on our list of cocktails for our New Year’s Eve Dinner.

Austin Mules
  • 3 slices fresh peeled and minced ginger
  • ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice, I use half a lemon here
  • ½ oz. fresh lime juice, I use a quarter of a lime here
  • ½ oz. simple syrup, I prefer to make mine homemade but you can use store bought as well
  • 2 oz. Tito's Vodka, you can use any Vodka but I prefer Tito's
  • Soda Water as needed
  • Mint for garnish
  • Ice
  1. Put minced ginger, fresh lemon and lime juice into shaker and muddle together
  2. Add Tito's Vodka and simple syrup
  3. Add ice to shaker and shake ingredients together
  4. Strain over ice and put into copper tin cup
  5. Top with soda water and mint sprig for garnish
  6. Enjoy

Ooo making a list for these, how do you make your simple syrup?

    • Hi Jordan! They are so good. I just make my syrup with equal parts water and sugar. Usually one cup water and one cup sugar, let them come to a small boil on the stove and then you’re good to go! You can also add a flavor if you want to jazz it up!
