CHANGE OF SEASONS

Happy October! Can you seriously believe it’s already October because I can’t? I am so ready for Fall and last week we had an amazing touch of Fall, but this week temps are back up into the 80s. I am hoping we have more of a Fall than Spring though because we completely missed that Season. So many things have been happening lately and it’s all good but that’s why I have been absent lately plus I am not really inspired during the month of August. We have a fun Fall bucket list though and have already started checking things off!!!

  1. Our big project for Fall is finishing up our backyard that we’ve been working on for the past month. We are putting in a stone patio and are hoping to have it done by Halloween. I can’t wait to put up twinkle lights and sit out on the patio on the weekends and enjoy our coffee.
  2. Fall decorating, I have completed the kitchen Fall shelves but that’s about it besides putting little pumpkins here and there. I am hoping to get a few more things done this coming weekend.
  3. ¬†Booties, Booties, and more Booties! I love when I can finally pull out my Fall wardrobe because there’s nothing I love better than boots and cardigans. I recently bought these Tory Burch boots from the Shopbop sale and can’t wait to get them. I have the hardest time buying boots and for the past two years I’ve had no luck but am hoping this is the year! I don’t mind investing in boots because my current pair I’ve had for 6 years.
  4. Last weekend I made this salad and if you love figs like me then you must make this salad ASAP! I try to make as many things with figs as I can this time of year and putting them in a salad is my favorite way.
  5. I recently took a new position at work and decided maybe it’s time to treat myself to a new work bag, some options I am considering are this satchel or tote from Cuyana, this tote from Everlane, or this one from Madewell.
  6. Watching the leaves fall from my office, I recently redid my office(more to come) and it’s been pretty watching the leaves starting to fall from the trees in the backyard. I can’t wait until they start changing colors.
  7. Heading to our favorite park to watch the beautiful colors of the season as the landscape transforms into oranges, greens, reds, and dark plum with the leaves turning over.
  8. Making pumpkin rolls and pumpkin pancakes on the weekend, I’ve been pinning a few new recipes and can’t way too try.
  9. Trying all the different blends of Autumn coffee flavors out there now. I absolutely love flavored coffee beans so this is my favorite time of year to try new blends.
  10. And of course, heading to the pumpkin patch for mazes, cider donuts, and lots of memories!!!
