We definitely had a wonderful Christmas celebrating with London. Christmas Eve started with a party at my parents best friends where my dad dresses as Santa. London was so cute and asked to sit on his lap twice telling him she wanted a cake pop. Every santa we’ve seen this year she’s asked for the same thing, a cake pop. We did make sure to put an actual cake pop in her stocking. Christmas morning I think she was a bit overwhelmed at all the gifts but managed to play with everything over and over again. My parents were here with us for the week and Christmas morning we kept with tradition, and my mom’s French Begniets for breakfast. We didn’t have to go anywhere that day so it was nice just relaxing and watching London enjoy all her gifts.
Heading to our Christmas Eve party Thursday night all dressed in her plaid and feeling festive.
My uncle bought her the Barbie Doll house which is massive and has lots of tiny parts. We don’t actually have any barbies for her yet, but she used her Disney princesses all weekend in this house. This was one of her favorite gifts by far.
Santa brought her everything a little princess could want with a vanity, glitter purse, Ariel and Belle dress, tutu, and makeup set. At first, she didn’t know what to do with the vanity but by the afternoon I caught her sitting on the little stool starring in the mirror, brushing her hair, and putting on lip gloss.
My mother-in-law got pretty creative with this gift for London. It was the Doc McStuffins doctor’s kit along with engraved scrubs for her to wear. London was so cute walking around giving everyone shots and taking blood pressures including the dogs.
My mom bought her two other princess dresses along with some Melissa and Doug toys and a gazillion other things. If you don’t have any Melissa and Doug toys I highly recommend them for educational purposes plus they are always so cute. The lacing cards help with fine motor skills and I love their puzzles. This Sofia one has nice chunky pieces making it easy to grasp plus it’s bright and colorful. London absolutely loves puzzles so this was perfect for her.
These colors are the best because they are jumbo size so easy to hold and they are made from break-resistant plastic, not actual wax.
Santa was pretty nice to me as well and left a few fun things in my stocking. The hand cream is the only thing that saves me in Winter, a pretty gold powder brush, gold and silver studs, and pretty packaged chocolate.
My favorite gift by far was this pink record player and Adele soundtrack. It’s been on total repeat since Christmas morning. Plus, Nathan’s grandmother gave us a bunch of her old records and we’ve had the best time listening to them.
I can’t believe another Christmas has already come and gone. Yesterday I started putting away a few decorations and even though I am so sad to take it all down, I am ready to get organized for a new year.
