This was such a wonderful weekend at home staying in and hanging out just the three of us. Seems rare anymore because we are always so busy. We spent the weekend redecorating, moving furniture around, and hanging lights throughout the living and dining room. The hubby was more than patient with me although after a few hours on Saturday asked why it was taking me so long to make up my mind about where I wanted items to go. Damn men. Sunday we made a big dinner and spent the evening watching Disney movies and laughing at London telling the dog to “stop it” and “get back”, two of her favorite new sayings. As usual, I am totally depressed about the weekend being over.
I always pick up fresh flowers on Fridays for the weekend and these Hydrangeas from TJ’s were some of the biggest I’ve ever seen.
We started Friday night with a few appetizers and a great bottle of Bordeaux.
If you’re into home decor books, then I highly recommend buying this one. It’s super funny and has wonderful tips and pictures to help with whatever room you’re working with.
This is about as far as I got decorating the table for Thanksgiving. I had planned on putting it all together but didn’t get around to finishing.
The hubby and I were hooked on Bailey’s and coffee all weekend long to keep us warm.
Sunday morning I spent being lazy in bed with a bit of Wanderlust and day dreaming. I picked up these Chocolate Croissants from Trader Joe’s and they were absolutely insanely delicious.
It was too cold to go outside most of the weekend so London and I did some painting. I love using the drawing paper roll and holder from IKEA for all her coloring and painting activities. I just tape it down to the kitchen table and let her go to town.
Our living room was freshly painted, we moved furniture around, and decorated the mantle. I’ll be showing other updates to the room in a few weeks, but wanted to start with this picture.
