This is the first year I will be hosting Thanksgiving and I am so excited! My parents will be joining the 3 of us making a small dinner for 5. Our menu however looks like we are feeding a family of 50 but it will be leftover city and my fat pants are more than ready. Hosting this year also meant I could actually decorate my table in a festive way with a purpose. There are so many incredible ideas out there but I really didn’t want to spend a ton of money and wanted to use decorations and tableware I already had. With a few simple additions I am pretty happy with the way the table turned out.
All of the linens came from Target. I picked up the chargers for around $2.49 in their Holiday section and the place mats were 20% off. The napkins I happened to purchase at the end of the Summer just to have so I made sure to incorporate those into the table. I pulled over the white pumpkins from our Halloween display on the fireplace. I still need to add a few silverware and dishes to the table but overall here it is!
Now for the really important part. THE MENU. Here’s what we are eating:Turkey HoneyBaked Ham ( I prefer this over Turkey- I know it’s crazy) Mashed Potatoes Sweet Potato Casserole Broccoli & Rice Casserole Squash Casserole Green Bean Casserole Cranberry Relish Noodles Rolls Pumpkin Chiffon Pie ( My mothers and it’s a mouthful of heaven)
And, for breakfast I am thinking we will go with this Egg & Hash Brown Casserole.
This will also be London’s first time eating meat. No holds bar! Can’t wait to see that mashed potato covered face.
What does your Thanksgiving menu and table look like?
I hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends! Thanks for reading.
