Favorite Green Juice

One of our favorite things to drink in the morning are juices and smoothies. They take less than 5 minutes to make, taste incredible, and it’s a great way to get in fruits and veggies early in the day. This is especially key for London who absolutely loves both drinks and will finish an entire 8 0z cup before I even realize. I am sharing a green juice we drink regularly and one of our favorites.  I’ll share some of our favorite smoothie recipes in a few weeks but enjoy the green juice.  I know, so original for a name, but that’s what we call it around here. Also, we do use a Vitamix instead of a blender, because I find the Vitamix doesn’t leave any pulp from any of the fruits or skins from the veggies.  I’ve tried to make juice in a blender before and had to use a nut bag to help contain the leftover residue. So far, the Vitamix has been one of the best investments we’ve made for a kitchen item.

Green Juice

1/2 cup green grapes

1 medium orange, peeled and halved

1/2 medium banana, peeled

1/2 cup chopped carrot

2 cups fresh spinach

1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks

1 1/2 cups ice cubes

1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix/Blender in order order as listed above. Select the lowest speed on the Vitamix/Blender.

2. Turn the machine on and slowly increase the to the highest speed.

3. Blend until your desired consistency, it’s usually for no more than 2 minutes for us.

ENJOY your greens.

  • YUM. This sounds amazing. I may have to sneak over and use Jordan’s Vitamix for this one 😉
