White Christmas Sangria was one of the cocktails I made for my cookie party this past weekend. I actually made two pitchers the night before so the fruit and juices all had time to soak together. It was refreshing and not too sweet but most of all very festive and pretty to drink. Plus, it took no time to whip it together and have for the evening.
1 Granny Smith apple
1 Braeburn apple
1 heaping Cup Fresh cranberries
1 large Sprig rosemary
1 Bottle Pinot grigio
½ cup white grape juice
¼ cup sugar (more, for garnish)
1 Can club soda
Chop the apples into small cubes and then combine all the ingredients into a large glass pitcher. I combined apples first then the cranberries and then the sugar. Mix the sugar until it fully dissolves and chill the Sangria for at least 4 hours before serving. Add Rosemary as a garnish, the Rosemary also helps cut down on the sweetness of the drink. Enjoy.
