Lately, over the past several months I’ve collected a few new books I wanted to share with you. These books have quickly become my favorites and they will be yours too. These books would also make perfect holiday gifts for friends or family as well and some of them are even on sale.
How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are– This is for your friend who loves anything and everything French. It’s written by 4 French women who give their perspectives on French dressing, entertaining, and culture overall. These women even spill some of their best places to go in Paris when visiting. A must read if you’re into that French sort of thing.
Elements Of Style– This might be my all time favorite decorating book. It’s from interior designer and blogger Erin Gates, and gives advice on building a beautiful home with tons of inspiration and truthful advice. Erin has a great sense of humor and shares honest tips on design. I have read several home decor books and this one has helped me the most with inspiration and little tips along the way.
Camille Styles Entertaining– From blogger Camille Styles, who basically does everything right in my mind when it comes to entertaining. The book provides everything from party planning ideas, to DIY, 75 recipes, and how to set a table. Camille makes party planning look effortless and stylish.
The Kitchn- When I was perusing through Barnes and Noble last month I came upon this cookbook, mostly because the front cover had a picture of a meal that looked amazing to me. I started to flip through the book and was instantly hooked. Aside from the amazing recipes inside like breakfast tacos, half of the book is dedicated to the “kitchn” as in how to organize your kitchen, how to store your vegetables, and how to clean your kitchen in 5 minutes. This section is actually my favorite part of the book and anyone who know who loves to be in the kitchen will definitely appreciate this book.
Ina Garten Make It Ahead– Here’s another fabulous book from the one and only Ina. I buy every single cookbook Ina comes out with because she’s just brilliant and you can never go wrong with an Ina meal. Some of our favorites out of this book are the Peas and Pancetta, Ginger Basmati Rice, and Garlic and Herb Roasted Shrimp. The recipes in this book can be prepared ahead of time and served at a later date. Pure Ina perfection.
La Vie Est Belle– This book was one of those impulse purchases I picked up from one of my favorite French antique stores in town. The beauty in the book is dedicated to what you’d expect from the French, interiors, food, and wine. The book is broken down by regions within France and gives a glimpse into Chateaux and farmhouse living. It will immerse you into the French culture immediately.
Places To Go, People To See– Another great coffee table book from Kate Spade. If you have a friend or know someone who is a coffee book girl then she needs this one. It’s a cute and fun tale of the Kate Spade New York girl and all the destinations she loves to travel to with fun and inspirational quotes and pictures. But, let’s get real… It’s just fun to look at and the cover is darling. If you order from Domino right now, it’s only sale for $32.
I’d love to know what some of your favorite books are right now. Any I am missing that I should know about?
