Back when I worked at the GAP in the early 90’s(totally dating myself here) it was the “in” thing to wear denim on denim. Then somewhere along the way it became a look to only wear to the rodeo or out on the farm, but thankfully everything comes back around full circle. I am a huge fan of denim on denim but there are definitely some so called rules you want to follow. I like to mix shades of denim together, with a lighter chambray top and dark skinny jeans. As long as you’re mixing fabric weights and washes you shouldn’t get that double stare when walking down the street. But, always make it your own look. I could have easily dressed this up more with a strand of pearls or thrown a leather jacket over it for an edgier look.
