What I Wore To KC Fashion Week

OUTFIT3When I first started to think about what I wanted to wear to Kansas City Fashion Week, I was thinking classy with a little edge mixed in and I knew exactly where I needed to go. Last week I told you how I am loving the NEW BR so it only made sense to head there for my outfit. I found this lace top immediately and loved the olive color. This isn’t normally a color I would gravitate toward but the rich hue stood out for me.  This top is much better in person that shown on the website.  Originally, I had planned to pair this top with black drapey pants and pumps, but when my favorite salesperson suggested this ivory skirt, I loved it. Not only was it perfect with this top, but it will pair nicely with other items for Fall and the holiday season. I topped the outfit off with these gorgeous booties, added simple jewelry and last but never least the leopard clutch. Thankfully Banana has been running constant sales lately to make it all worth while.

P.S. No, these items are not part of my 20 pieces for Fall, but it was a special occasion so it had to happen.

  • The skirt was a great idea since it’s still so warm here in KC. Where is fall?! p/s I love the idea of buying a set number of pieces. I’m working on rebuilding my wardrobe, but it’s hard to do!

Thanks! I know right. Where is fall is the question… I keep thinking it’s coming, but not really.

    • I know! I am so ready for Fall but it’s taking forever… It takes a while to rebuild a wardrobe. This is my first year trying this so we will see how it goes.

I absolutely love, love, love this lace top. I am a fan of more graphic lace with a substantial pattern.
