Tomorrow starts one of the biggest sales of the year and one I highly wait for every July. It’s the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for early access. Be ready to be overloaded with Instagram shots, blog posts, and social media frenzy from every fashion blogger on the planet. This year I am doing the sale a little different. In years past I just go with really no agenda waiting until I get to the sale to see what I like. However, my closet is the size of a shoebox now so I really can’t afford to just buy anything anymore so I’ve decided to stick with the essentials of what I really need versus what I really want. I’ve been taking stock of my closet and this past weekend tried to go through my Fall wardrobe and write down a list of what I really need for the season. I am always trying to keep the idea around the 5 piece French wardrobe when thinking about what’s an essential.  I will be going to the anniversary sale with my list in hand seeing what I can find. My goal is not to stray from the list and to keep things pretty simple. However, I am sure I’ll find at least one thing I can’t live without. I also use this time to buy London a new winter coat and a few new shoes for school. The hubs will also be picking up some new work clothes as well, but it really might be the first time I will be walking out of the store with only a few purchases. On my list is a new pair of booties either black or brown, a camel coat or even navy if I could find one. A pair of cropped flare, new Nikes, a new black scarf (really want this one), a Grey cashmere sweater, black pumps which I don’t have, and a new structured bag of some sort. Love this one, this one, and I’ve had my eye on this one forever.  Happy Anniversary shopping and these are the important dates you need to know. July 14th- Early access starts for card holders, July 22nd- the sale opens to the public, and August 7th is the last day to shop the sale before prices go up. If you need more information about the sale head to the Nordstrom website to learn more.
