Last Sunday I had the opportunity to attend a special event with Barton Perreira on the Plaza and some other local Kansas City bloggers. I have to admit that I’ve been in the store before but had never tried on any of their sunglasses. I have always had the hardest time finding sunglasses because they either looked horrible on me, weren’t the right frame for my face, or I didn’t like the color. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried on sunglasses at Nordstrom, Sunglass Hut, and other big box retailers only to walk away because the staff wasn’t helpful or the selection was horrible. Thankfully, I was introduced to Barton Perreira and couldn’t have loved them anymore. The store itself is so aesthetically pleasing as soon as you walk through the door you immediately know you’ve come to the right place to find your sunglasses. Mike, who is part owner, of the store in Kanas City greeted us all with mimosas and a warm welcome. Mike is technically an Opthamologist so he knows his stuff when it comes to finding the right pair of glasses. He immediately put a pair on me and said these are the ones and it turned out that he was completely right. I honestly loved all of them so much and had a hard time deciding which ones to go with. I eventually went with the Justice which I have to say would have normally been out of my comfort zone but with Mike’s help and encouragement I went with them and am so happy. They say you always get what you pay for and in this instance I would say that’s absolutely correct. I look at some of my current high name sunglasses I have in my collection and they look so cheaply made compared to the Barton’s. If you are looking for some amazing sunglasses that are made with quality and design at the forefront then you need to try out Barton Perreira and if you’re local in KC then you definitely need to stop by the store on the plaza and talk with Mike. I love this quote from the BP website which describes the line:
DEDICATED TO PURE LUXURY, BARTON PERREIRA’S APPROACH TO FASHION REDEFINES STYLE AND ELEGANCE. PATTY PERREIRA’S LANGUAGE OF INSPIRED DESIGN FOCUSES ON THE EVOLUTION PROCESS AND CONTINUES TO CHALLENGE THE INDUSTRY BY UNVEILING THE NEXT NEW THING.
Thanks for a fun morning Mike and Barton Perreira
